Special Edition Blog: Triangles of “Going the Distance.”

Writer's picture: Jeffrey SnyderJeffrey Snyder

For my latest special edition, I wanted to take this opportunity to take you behind the scenes once more in regards to the operations of “Going the Distance.”

Now, in terms of running a business, it’s always a good idea to create what is known as a business triangle. With a business triangle, you set a series of boundaries for your business knowing what to focus on and what makes you successful.

At “Going the Distance,” business triangles are no exception. In order to help my business run properly, I created a series of triangles whose purpose is to allow me to focus on what particular strengths I have along with what tools are at my disposal. For this blog, I will go over each business triangle variant of “Going the Distance” and explain what is inside each triangle.

Alpha Triangle (Core Values of “Going the Distance”)

The first type of triangle that is covered is the alpha triangle which holds the three core values of “Going the Distance:

Diversity

Equality

Inclusion

Beta Triangle (Types of Audiences for “Going the Distance”)

The second type of triangle that is covered is the beta triangle which represents the types of audiences that “Going the Distance” provides to whether they are in person or virtual:

Neurodiversity/Disability (Families, Individuals, Doctors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists)

Education (Special Education, School Safety, General Education)

Employment (Vocational Centers, Job Coaches, Companies, Corporations)

….

Gamma Triangle (Operational Bases and Partners)

The third type of triangle that is covered is the gamma triangle which represents the operational hubs and partners of which “Going the Distance” either operates and partners with.

Headquarters (Seekonk, Massachusetts, Sanibel Island, Florida and Roanoke, Virginia)

West Coast Hub and Partner (Autism Tree Project Foundation in San Diego, California)

East Coast Hub and Partners (Unicorn Children’s Foundation and Ability Beyond Disabilities in Boca Raton, Florida and Tampa, Florida)

Delta Triangle (Ground and Air Transportation Partners)

The fourth type of triangle that is covered is the delta triangle which covers the air and ground transportation that partners with “Going the Distance.”

Oneworld Alliance (American Airlines, British Airways, Qantas, etc. for air; Moe’s Limousine Services or Lyft for ground)

Star Alliance (United Airlines, Air Canada, Aer Lingus, etc. for air; First Florida Limo or Lyft for ground)

SkyTeam Alliance (Delta Airlines, Air France, KLM, Virgin Atlantic, etc. for air: San Diego Limo or Lyft for ground)

Omicron Triangle (Hotel Partners)

The fifth type of triangle that is covered is the omicron triangle which covers the hotel partners with “Going the Distance.”

Hilton (Hampton Inn, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, etc.)

IHG (Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental, Staybridge Suites, etc.)

Marriott International (Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield by Marriott, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, Springhill Suites, etc.)

As you can see, each triangle is like a part that makes “Going the Distance” what it is. Without these triangles, “Going the Distance” would have no structure and would not run as properly as it is right now in supporting the neurodiversity/disability communities.

If you are interested in learning more of what goes on at “Going the Distance,” let me know and I will be happy to dish what goes on here.

Catch you all later!!
