The Man Behind the Curtain: An Educational Story (Keynote)


We all have a different educational path that we must follow and my journey as a neurodivergent special education student is no different. In this roundtable discussion, you will learn more about my story to becoming the first neurodivergent special education student to complete kindergarten through Grade 12 in the Seekonk Public School System.

School Safety Drills and Autism


Every school we go to practices a various form of school safety drills such as fire, lockdown or bus evacuation drill. However, for students on the autism spectrum, these drills are very difficult to go through.


In this presentation, you will learn tricks of the trade in helping students with autism go through these various and challenging safety drills.

School Assemblies and Neurodiversity


School Assemblies have one purpose…to bring student and teacher together for an important educational purpose or moment. But being in a setting with the rest of the student body can be an sensory overloading experience for neurodiverse students.


In this presentation, you will learn more about why school assemblies can be bothersome and how to help better your students in coping with them such as providing alternative approaches.

How to Create Alternative Lunchroom Settings for Special Education/Sensory Friendly Students


School lunches are the period of the school day where students dine and socialize together. However, there are moments where the lunch period can be overbearing and overstimulating for students who are sensory friendly and/or neurodivergent.


In this presentation, you will learn how to help support students who are sensory friendly by giving them a lunchroom setting that allows them to enjoy their meals without getting overstimulated.



School Dances and Neurodiversity


School dances are sort of like a social circle for school students, a chance to let students be students and socialize with others. However, for neurodivergent students, school dances can be overwhelming and difficult to go through.


In this presentation, you will get some ideas on how to help neurodivergent students attend and enjoy a school dance.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to grow up neurodiverse and have a paying job at the same time? In this roundtable discussion, I share my story of growing up on the autism spectrum and going through the process of getting a paid job in the retail industry.



Metro Goldwyn Mayer: A Lesson on Flexibility and How Neurodivergents Can Learn From It.


In 1924, one of the most recognized names in film production, Metro Goldwyn Mayer or MGM, came into existence with the purpose of becoming the greatest motion picture studio in the world.


However, as the years passed, the studio was reluctant to be flexible to the changing times and it ended up paying the consequences. In this presentation, you will learn why being flexible should be viewed not as a hinderance, but as a survival skill especially for those who are neurodiverse.

Neurodiversity in Disney Characters: Volume 1

We have all grown up with it in some way or another, whether it would be watching the movies, buying the merchandise or travelling to their theme parks around the world.


However, little do we realize that there are certain characters that display traits of Neurodiversity. We may not see it at first, but in this presentation, you will see what makes them relate to Neurodivergent Individuals.

Neurodiversity in Disney Characters: Volume 2


Yes, I am sure you are all familiar with Disney whether it’s the movies, the theme parks and everything else in between.


But, did you know that a lot of Disney Characters display Neurodivergent Traits? There is much more in fact, to the point where a volume 2 had to be created! In this presentation, you will discover and connect with 8 more characters that display traits of neurodiversity that we may not know about when we first meet them!

Angelina Ballerina: What Neurodivergent Families and Individuals Can Learn From?


Based on the popular children’s book series by Katharine Holabird and Helen Craig, Angelina Mouseling is a mouse with big dreams…to become a world-famous ballerina. But in her never-ending life journey to become a ballerina, she can also be relatable in terms of dealing with life challenges that are similar to neurodiverse individuals. In this 2-part presentation, using examples from the animated adaptation originally aired on PBS, you will learn examples of what makes this young mouse relatable to neurodiverse families and individuals.

Neurodiversity and Weddings


When it comes to weddings, so much is happening at once: excitement, seeing people we are connected with, preparation both mentally and physically. But for neurodivergents and developmentally different individuals, it can be an overall nightmare. 


In this presentation, you will learn how weddings can be made easier for sensory friendly individuals without destroying the quality of the wedding day itself.



Neurodiversity and Funerals


Funerals are a ritual that is never easy for anyone. Saying goodbye to a loved one can be especially difficult for neurodivergent/developmentally different individuals on top of having to deal with the prospect of going through the funeral itself.


In this presentation, you will learn five helpful tips on how to help neurodivergent individuals through the funeral process to make things a little easier.
