Well, we’ve made it to the end of another year and Going the Distance is looking ahead to what is going to be happening in 2024. For this final blog of 2023, I’m going to give you a preview of what I have cooking up for the year ahead whether it be trainings/virtual classes that are already scheduled for the coming year or projects/goals that will be worked on.
So, what are we waiting for? Let’s get started!!
…
#1: Speaking Engagements
To begin with, I’m sure you are wondering what speaking engagements I have already on the docket for the coming year. I’m happy to report that I currently have three trainings already scheduled for 2024 with one being out in Irvine, CA geared towards special education teachers of which I will be presenting “School Safety Drills and Autism,” and “School Assemblies and Neurodiversity” on Friday February 23rd and Saturday February 24th respectively.
The other two will be closer to home with one being at the Wolf School in Rumford, RI on Saturday March 2nd at a to be determined time and then I will be speaking to recovering drug and alcohol patients at the Chris Hurron Center in Seekonk, MA at a to be determined date in January. I also have an appearance already scheduled for October 2024 that is going to be hosted by Infinite Learning Academy in Houston, TX. Topics for that educational retreat are to be determined at this time.
…
I’m also happy to note that I also have several more presentations looking to be put on the website for you to consider being presented in the future. Those presentations are:
Autism and Weddings
Autism and Funerals
Autism and the Doctor’s Office
My other goal is to get more paid speaking engagements in terms of covering costs (such as for travel expenses) which can help Going the Distance be financially secured for 2024 and beyond. If you go to my services page, you will see that my prices are negotiable, so that I am more than willing to sit down and discuss pricing.

#2: Virtual Classses
In 2023, I was fortunate enough to teach several virtual classes covering topics on Disney Decades and Disney Theme Parks. These classes are currently geared towards day habilitation programs for individuals with developmental differences.
So, if you are interested in having me teach these virtual classes for your day hab programs, reach out to me today!!
They are 10 once a week classes for $250 and in addition to Disney Decades and Disney Theme Parks, I also have classes based on the histories of the Three Stooges and the Muppets with more classes to create in the future…so stay tuned!!

#3: Building on Partnerships
As I stated in my 2023 year in review blog, I managed to build partnerships with Infinite Learning Academy and Safe and Sound Schools that I look to build on partnerships with. If you are interested in not only hosting me as your speaker/trainer but also wanting your neurodiversity/educational/employment organization to partner with me for the future, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. My door is always open!!

#4: Event Blogs and Reviews
One of the new features I put in for 2023 was doing event reviews at all the events I participated in, and this helped me get my message out across further, thanks to the support of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism who came up with the idea in the first place.
If you would like me to come to your event and do a blog review/album of your event, my prices are negotiable if you are outside of New England (to cover travel costs and expenses), but if you are located regionally within New England, your price can either be negotiable or free.

So, there you have it in terms of what I have planned for Going the Distance 2024. It’s seems simple but remember that simple can go farther than complexity. I look forward to Year 3 of Going the Distance and I am thrilled to have you along for the ride!!
Catch you all later and Happy New Year!! See you in 2024!!
